Grieve with those who grieve – sitting together in sorrow without rushing through the pain.
Mourn with those who mourn – acknowledging loss and honoring the hurt.
Encourage one another with hope – pointing to the One who carries us and promises restoration.

Scriptures for when we need to lament and cry out to God. What is lament? Lament is more than sorrow. It is the honest cry of a heart that refuses to stay silent in the face of pain. In Scripture, lament gives us language for grief, questions, and deep longings—yet it never leaves us in despair. Instead, lament is a sacred pathway that leads us through sorrow toward hope. When we lament, we bring our burdens to God instead of carrying them alone. We name our hurt, we ask for His help, and we cling to His promises. Again and again, lament turns our gaze from brokenness to the God who heals, restores, and redeems. Lament is not the end of the story, but it is the bridge that carries us to hope for the future.
