At Pequea Church our children’s ministry is uniquely designed with your child in mind! Kids, birth through sixth grade, experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. Your child will learn about the love of Jesus in a large group / small group format which reinforces both the strengths of community and allows for relationship building.  Join the fun and experience a world where kids meet Jesus on their level!

Relationships

First and foremost we desire that each child come to experience a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. We also value however, our children’s relationships within the group settings they experience each week.  Your child will learn to practice many of the attributes that Jesus teaches us as they relate to their small group leader and other children within the group. We would encourage you to regularly attend the same service time each week so that your kids can connect with their peers and leaders!

We Value Age Appropriateness

We are passionate about children learning about Jesus in a way they understand. Our environments and lesson materials are selected based on the physical, mental and emotional needs of each child.  Your child will be loved and cared for in every class.

We Value Safety

We believe that safety is vital as families entrust us with their children each week. Therefore, every volunteer is screened with an interview prior to working with children. Every worker is also trained in Pequea’s Emergency Evacuation Plan and Children and Youth Protection Policy. We have been proactive in developing plans that will protect your child in the event of an emergency such as a fire, intruder, or weather, and by giving our volunteers the tools they need to minister best to your child or teen.

We Value Creative Bible Teaching

The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.

We Value Fun!

Kids love fun! We realize that when children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus.

As part of our Children and Youth Protection Policy, recording all children infant – grade 6 is mandatory in the class room.  By diligently signing in and signing out your child you are providing us with vital information that will help us serve you better.  This process includes listing allergies, who will be picking up your child after the service, and where you can be located in the building if your child should need you prior to the end of the service.
