August 8 & 11, 2010- Children’s Informational Baptism Class

Pastor Dawn Groff will be offering a Children’s Informational Baptism Class on Sunday August 8 at 9:00 a.m. and on Wednesday August 11 at 6:45 p.m. Attendance in this class does not automatically place your child on the list for baptism. It is meant to offer the information children need to decide if they are ready for baptism. No sign-up is necessary for this class.

August 15-17, 2010- Photo Directory – Photo Blitz

From 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. each night a group of volunteers from Pequea Church will be here to take your family photo during our three-day Photo Blitz. No sales pressure – in fact, we will email you a copy of your digital photo for free to use and print as you wish. This new photo directory will help to build a sense of community with all our new families from “Church on Wednesday.” If you think of Pequea as your church home we want you to participate; even if you are not currently in our directory! The directory will be distributed digitally to your private email address to save the cost of printing. Please call Joyce Slaymaker at 464.0789 to schedule your time.

August 20, 2010- 55+ Alive Luau

Join us on Friday August 20 at 6:00 p.m. for a Tropical Luau at the home of Alex & Judy Munro (Rain date: Sat, August 21). Please dress in bright, colorful attire. August 22, 2010- Baptism Picnic at the Conestoga Pool

Plan to attend one of Pequea Churches Summer highlights with the Picnic and Baptism at the Conestoga Pool on Sunday August 22. Come at 5:00 p.m. for a picnic, swimming and fellowship followed by the Baptism at 7:00 p.m. The evening will conclude at 9:00 p.m. The hospitality committee will provide the BBQ sandwiches, beverages, plates, cups, silverware and napkins. Each family attending the picnic is asked to bring (1) family-size side dish AND (1) family-size dessert to share. August 28, 2010- Believe, Grow, Serve, Share Classes

This Summer the pastoral team is offering four classes to help you learn more about the Brethren In Christ denomination, as well as what it means to be a part of ministry here at Pequea Church. The Believe, Grow, Serve, and Share classes are designed for people who want to learn more about our objective and mission at Pequea Church. These classes are a requirement for those who want to become a member/partner of Pequea Church. September 9, 2010- Beth Moore – To Live is Christ: The Life and Ministry of Paul

Beginning in September we will have a Beth Moore Study for women- To Live is Christ: The Life and Ministry of Paul. This is a 10 week Beth Moore Study. It will begin on September 9 from 6:45-8:45 p.m. at Pequea Church. No childcare provided. During this time we will meet in small discussion groups and then as a large group we will view the video. There is home work each week which helps you to dig deeply into the scriptures. This is a great way to learn and grow under Beth’s excellent teaching and to dive into the scriptures in a new and exciting way!
